“Lovely old property in a very beautiful spot with lovely outside seating area by the river. We stayed 1 night in a room which was nice with a large bathroom. Good selection for breakfast. Zoe was very friendly. Reason why i didnt score it a 5 was due to disturbed sleep which i know cannot be helped by the owner but still affected us. Could hear snoring all night in the room next to us and people moving around in their rooms throughout the night I would have thought for a building of that age the...

“I’d give Melin Tregyb 5* for cleanliness and the room was large and airy with a very comfortable double bed. The owners were very quick to respond to emails but it would be comforting for me, as a solo traveller, to have an hour per day when the owners could be guaranteed to be in the building. ”

“We booked two nights here and then read the reviews, some of which were pretty grim. That was not our experience. It suited our purposes, and we were happy with our stay. This is a golf club that has a few (9?) rooms, which it offers. As such, it is not a hotel so there isn’t a bevy of staff on hand 24/7 like a real hotel might have. “We had a great stay at the Mill… so quiet and peaceful and in a stunning location. Helen and Matt were terrific hosts ensuring our stay was perfect. Our room was spacious and comfortable and beautifully decorated. A fridge with fresh milk and an incredibly generous Biscuit jar (apologies for over indulging! 😂) was certainly a bonus. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful which we really enjoyed. We would highly recommend this lovely place and we hope to return. Graham and Kay.”
