Walk in shower had no anti slip mat and was quite dangerous,there was not a backup toilet roll in the bathroom not that it was needed but was expected. The staff were friendly and helpful.

A split second mistake was made by myself on the booking and I phoned straight away to change to the next night and expected to pay more but my request was declined due to booking T&Cs - shame really because they could of had more money from us 😠

My husband and I stayed here for the second year running for our wedding anniversary and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were helpful and friendly at check in. Our double room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The spa was £10pp for hotel residents that hadn’t booked direct but it was worth it. I also paid for a neck shoulder and back massage - would highly recommend Tracy! Dinner was in the Courtyard restaurant - we had 3 courses and a bottle of wine for under £100 and there were plenty of vegetarian options for us! The bed was comfortable and we slept for 9 hours! Check out was 11. We would have got breakfast if we hadn’t slept in! We hope to come back next year for our 3 year anniversary!

Short walk into the town centre and decent hotel room. It wasn't made clear that use of the spa facilities was an additional cost of £10 per person per hour.

The hotel was very nice. The only disappointment was that we were unable to use the spa. Not sure how that works that guests need to book a slot to use it. We were under impression that as guests we would be able to use it. Feel very let down unfortunately.

A lovely hotel with great food, great staff and great facilities. I enjoyed the spa pool. We came for Spa facilities and there was no availability on dates and times we were there for treatments. So I would recommend booking way in advance.

Dated cold room
Wow this hotel needs to buy decent beds not the cheapest poor quality ones they have in room 203, I had the worse sleep I've ever had in a hotel.the room was absolutely freezing they turned the heating off in the early hours the bed a single one was poor quality more suited for a child the room was dated and had paint and dirt around the window.The only nice thing was the reception staff Melody who went out of her way to help me get extra blankets for the bed the hydro pool was very good.The bar was poor due to a wedding party the service was slow and the staff indifferent.I can't believe it was £200 pound for a room only stay this hotel is very dated in parts I wouldn't stay there again!!

On arrival was allocated a room with mould on ceiling and walls, was then reallocated a fresh room of a much lesser standard. Was not allowed to use the facilities without paying an additional £10 per person due to the fact that we booked through a third party ie Expedia

I ve stayed here four times before and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was nice, spacious and clean. Tea, Coffee and biscuits on hand. Parking is easy. Staff very friendly and helpful and in the bar will always have a chat and make you feel welcome if not busy. I think its great to be able to use the Spa as part of your stay for an hour. For longer stays room is cleaned at your request so don't get disturbed. Aldi and Home Bargains across the road. Nice 10 min walk into town along the river. My only things were I was in Room 110 and the WiFi didn't seem very constant maybe just need a booster. Also I ate at the Drinking Fountain twice and understand the cost of living but as nice and filling as the meal was I thought £38 for a two course meal, Steak being the main a bit pricey. Happy and look forward to staying again and strongly recommend.

Booked for a night on 26/10. Lovely welcome. Staff were brilliant. Room was spacious, TV was one of the biggest I’ve seen in a hotel room. Bedding was ridiculously comfortable and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was fantastic!

Nice hotel
The hotel is lovely, staff are very friendly. But for a three day stay we never had housekeeping visit once, and we had to request things like sanitary products in the bathroom. For a 4 star hotel I would expect at least 1 visit in three days but overall the hotel is nice.

Thankyou for taking the time to leave us with your feedback, we do service bedrooms but at your request, if you don't have your bedroom cleaned we donate money to have tree's planted as part of our environmental policy. You can read about this, in our welcome letter, hotel info book and housekeeping signage in the bedroom. If you are staying with us again please just ask, it's no problem. Last minute stay but was quite expensive for the room that you got, rooms could do with renovation as the rest of the hotel is really well kept. Breakfast was good but waited quite a while. Staff were also really friendly. Overall good stay but wasn’t so keen on the room.

Really Nice Hotel

Really lovely garden area. I was at the back and it was very quiet. The room was comfortable and had a decent shower and nice toiletries. I would have liked to use the spa/pool but the hours seemed limited.
