5 out of 5 stars, location perfect right on the ancient walls! Kieran was great kind and welcoming..breakfast was a bit lame, I would not expect a fancy Irish breakfast included, but at least some milk...where was the milk? Still, 5 stars

Wir waren für zwei Nächte zu Gast und hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Das Hotel ist bequem mit den Öffis zu erreichen. Vom Bahnhof aus fährt ein kostenfreier Linienbus in die Innenstadt und dann sind es nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Wir hatten uns im Voraus über Expedia gemeldet, weil wir Fragen zum Check In hatten und haben umgehend eine Antwort von Kieran, dem Inhaber, erhalten. Am Morgen der Anreise kam zusätzlich noch einmal eine SMS mit dem Tür-Code und Informationen zum WiFi und den Frühstückszeiten. Das Haus selbst ist sehr alt, aber fantastisch gepflegt und super charmant. Zu den Zimmern kommt man über ein relativ enges Treppenhaus, was für uns überhaupt kein Problem war, aber wenn man körperliche Beeinträchtigungen hat, könnte das eine Herausforderung sein. Unser Zimmer war nicht riesig, hatte aber ausreichend Platz um zwei große Koffer zeitgleich öffnen zu können (das hatten wir in Irland auch schon ganz anders erlebt). Das Badezimmer war sehr geräumig und mit einer Badewanne ausgestattet, die eine Glaswand hatte, so dass wir bequem duschen konnten. Das Frühstück ist klein gehalten, was bei fünf Gästezimmern natürlich verständlich ist, aber es gibt neben Kaffee und Tee auch Saft, Müsli, Yoghurt, Brot und diverse Sorten Marmelade und Nutella. Kieran ist ein Gastgeber mit Leidenschaft, unglaublich freundlich, gesprächig aber nicht aufdringlich. Er sorgt auf jeden Fall für einen guten Start in den Tag. Unter'm Strich: Absolute Empfehlung für einen Aufenthalt in Derry!

Pleasant stay

Good place to stay within the city walls. There is limited street parking but we were recommended Bishop Street car park a 5 minute walk away - £7 for 24 hours ( you need to re-ticket each day). The rooms were furnished in a period style but were comfortable and the breakfast was ample - cereals/fruit/ toast/yogurt. There is no reception but we were provided with a code for the door for our arrival.

The place was built in the 1700s so understand that the rooms are NOT sound proof. We could hear luggage being drug over the cobblestone out front. Check out their website for parking options, there are some out front but not a lot and parking hours are 8am-630pm overnight free (we got extremely lucky). The rooms were beautiful, the host was amazing and you couldn’t ask for a better breakfast. We only stayed for a short stay so it worked nicely for us.

Nice period accomodation right by Derry city walls. Decent breakfast provided also. Plenty of eating and entertainment options close by, no parking on site but plenty of cheap overnight options near by. Would recommend for a short stay in Derry.

Breakfast was simple (tea/coffee/juice/yogurt/fruit/toast/cereal) but great way to start the day. Room was comfortable. Great location.

Our stay was amazing! The location is wonderful, in the heart of the city and right beside the wall. The host is genuinely great and he made our stay very comfortable, always having an amazing breakfast in the mornings. Thank you for making our trip here as beautiful as it was!

Wonderful 1700’s townhouse in great condition. Beautiful and spacious room looking out at the city wall. Easy self checkin with menu suggestions for dinner. Easy walking to many of Derry’s highlights. Beautiful was good with many choices.

Lovely Spot Heart of Derry

This is a lovely place to stay in the heart of Derry. Entrance into the walls is right out front. Beds are comfy and the room is adorable. My son snagged a photo of his bed when we got to our room. Super quiet. We were at the top of the townhouse which is a bit of a walk, but you need it after eating all the yummy food in Derry.

Loved my stay here. Will definitely be staying again if I'm in town. Staff were extremely kind and the breakfast was perfect. Great coffee! The shower had great pressure and the towels and blankets were very soft. The beds! So cozy! Perfect place to stay if you're wanting a place right in the center of the city. Highly recommend!!!

This was the best of all stays! Fun and funky lodging - top floor clean and spacious, overlooking Derry, inside city wall. Breakfast room gave a jazzy start to the day - and Kieran offered the best of early morning genuine Irish hospitality!

Situation idéale pour une nuit

Emplacement parfait à coté des remparts. Possibilité de se garer devant (une heure max) pour décharger les bagages, puis stationner la voiture dans un autre parking en dehors des remparts. Chambre un peu petite et fatiguée, déco vieillotte (question de goût), avec vue sur un batiment délabré. Petit déjeuner simple (pain de mie et céréales en libre service)
