Saturday Night in Moberly
Our TV did not work and did not work through our whole stay. We did go out by the pool and eat our picnic dinner and that was OK. The room itself was pretty nice as far as we were concerned. The buffet at breakfast was like, at least a football field from our room. It was a back hallway and there was no place to sit. I went back in the kitchen as nobody was around, and was able to find some biscuits. They were really good though. We went up to Moberly to go to the Drive-in so it was a convenient place. I probably would stay there again but would make double sure our TV worked before accepting the room.

WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED
I have stayed at numerous hotels in the past, but none compare to Moberly Inn & Suites. Upon walking in, the entire lobby smelled of smoke and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in years. Entering the room, I found the bed to have old sheets (red stains and dirt everywhere), no towels, no toilet paper (actually it was a single half-used roll), no shampoo/conditioner, holes in the walls, and no actual light in the room. It was only lit by lamps at night and the lightbulbs didn't even work!! The front desk insisted that the bed had fresh sheets even though it had dirt and stains everywhere! Wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. 0/10 rating if i could

I have been a guest at this motel several times under various management. This time it seemed to be unfriendly and not prepared for guests. There were not enough towels and washcloths. No soap to wash hands, let alone shower. No cups to get a drink of water. Missing TV remotes, spiders. The air conditioning was exceptional but the controls to turn it down were broken so it made for a cold night. We stayed there because they have a pool. There were men loitering around the outside of the motel. Next time I am in town, I will be staying elsewhere.

THIS WAS A TERRIBLE HOTEL, NO TOWELS FOR HOURS! BEDS NOT MADE UP , DIRTY SHEETS LEFT IS FLOOR OF ROOM. Stay Far Away!
Killed 6 bugs, room is hot, no crib or pack n play available, no towels in room, and TV needed maintenance. Hoping it will be better tomorrow. So, we also learned that they do not clean or restock the room and breakfast is definitely better being skipped. All of the staff we encountered were nice but need to have some uniform or name tag as they all looked like they are in street clothes. May have been some pimp and hooker situation in some of the rooms as well. Recommend choosing another hotel.

Too much to even put in writing!!! #1 room they gave us WASNT READY, the inside lock was on like someone was in the room No working smoke detector No towels and acted like the ones we ask for were his own! Was told they weren't pet friendly!!! 😡 Room we got WASNT CLEANED! Walls, pictures were nasty dusty/dirty Bathtub looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in months Beds looked like my 10 year old grand daughter made them One bed didn't have a blanket No mini frig Microwave was GROSS N HADNT BEEN CLEANED $211 n change for 2 nights in a $25 a night hotel!!! Very upset!!!

Questionable bedbug issue. Woman at front desk very helpful and nice. Man at front desk rude and worthless, wouldn’t even get up to give us towels. No breakfast Sunday morning. Hotel rundown.

Gross!
Dirty, smoky, gross. No towels, no pillow cases. Trashed piled up outside the door. Our room shared a wall with a redneck bar connected to the hotel. Bar-goers hanging out outside of our room. Bad, bad experience.

Listen to the bad reviews!
I read a few reviews and hoped that the good ones where right but was not the case. We got in really late, there was no number on our door and the door was proped open. When we went in the tv was on, the window was open, there was McDonald’s in the microwave and food on the counter and in the fridge. It looked the they used it for their break room. So I just wanted to shower and the drain was full of hair and all over the shower. It was 2 in the monrning so I wasn’t going to fight for a return and then have to find another place to stay. But it was horrible!!

The night shift staff looked VERY unprofessional, wearing street clothes, some of them looking uncleanly. One was smoking an E-cig as we were checking in. The room was Musty smelling, carpet felt damp, no mini fridge, bathroom smelled terrible like body odor, there were no towels or washcloths, bed sheets were rough and I booked a room with a private patio but when checking in they assigned us to room that did not have one. Very disappointed

We were put in three different rooms and there were people in two of them we weren't compensated for anyting there were no towels in the rooms.

The place was so dismal, we declined to stay. The room was not ready. We we told that someone would clean it for us now. The small lobby smelled of stale cigarette smoke. I’m surprised Hotel.com represents a place like this.

Very Disappointed
We willnever stay at the place again. It took over 20 minutes to check in because the worker was on his personal cell phone conducting business. Once we were assigned a room it was still dirty with beds not made an toothpaste in the sink. When we went to let them know the guy (a different one) was rude and said he would not give us our money back. When he gave us a different room there was only one channel on the TV. They came at 11:15pm to program the TV so we could watch TV. We told them not to worry about it...after all it was 11:15pm... When we woke up there were no towels or wash rags. When my husband went down to get them the guy (same one as the night before) pulled a bunch of them out of the dryer and handed them to him Not folded or anything. Never again

Smelled like smoke in a nonsmoking room
Booked 2 rooms for Grad weekend at Truman. Both rooms were to be nonsmoking but both rooms smelled of smoke. No towels or soap in rooms at check in. Would not recommend this hotel!

Im so sorry you experienced the smell of smoke in your room. That is not a normal occurrence for our properties. We do hand out towels upon check in, this is something new to our facility., I appreciate your feedback and will speak with staff about your visit.

I apologize for the inconvenience as you were given keys to the room next door, I also apologize for the power washer at 7, yes at 7 in missouri it is still daylight. as we have guests who want to swim and have to have a clean pool, we would have gladly moved you. I hope you consider stopping by when you come back thru moberly and speak with me, I will personally make sure you are taken well care of and in a quiet location.

Gave me a smokers room, ashes on the furniture, toilet didn’t work, multiple burned out light bulbs, and room had bad odor.

The staff was friendly. Beds were comfortable. I had to go to the desk every night to get coffee for the room. Soaps were not left in the rooms and there were never any wash cloths

Nice hotel in Moberly, MO with convenient location
We so appreciated the helpful staff at this hotel. The free "help-yourself" breakfast was ready early in the morning and nice to have because we were short on time and had to leave early in the morning. However, I do wish they could also offer decaf coffee. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean in our room with all the amenities. We will definitely stay here again!!

No, don't go here!
This hotel was absolutely one of the worst I've ever been in. It was dirty, the sink wouldn't drain, there was no coffee pot, no cups, no clock and it smelled horribly. Breakfast had to be eaten in a bar that smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.

Dirty, Stinky Room
We booked through Expedia, we were looking for a...let's say "affordable" room and this place fit the bill. When we checked in she told us how great of a deal we got because of a glitch, she seemed almost mad about it. As we checked in I confirmed we would have a nonsmoking room and she said yes, the room she was putting us in had just finished getting cleaned. We went into the room and the first thing we noticed was how it smelled of old cigarettes. As we were discussing what to do an employee came walking into our room not realizing we had checked in. She apologize and before she left I asked it the room was nonsmoking she said yes. I went into the bathroom to check that out and there was still hair gel or something on the sink along with tooth paste. The carpets had clearly not been vacuumed because there was trash on them. We decided the entire motel probably wasn't going to be much better so we went over to Dollar General and bought candles and Lysol wipes. I cleaned up the bathroom and we left two candles burning most of the evening. I believe we left the room in better shape then it was when we arrived.

Very bad maids
Room #1 that they gave me the toilet seat was broken the toilet wasn’t clean urine on the toilet and seat.. Room #2 the bathroom wasn’t cleaned no towels, bars of soap left in the shower from someone else’s stay.. Totally disgusting. I will not stay at this hotel ever again nor will I recommend this place to anyone else.

Bad stay in Moberly
When we arrived in the room had trouble shutting the door. When we entered the room it was cold. Could not get connected with the internet, the bathroom light was very very dim, and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. TV remote did not work. After we checked out we did receive our money back promptly.

Moberly Inn & Suites
Room was disgusting. Toilet paper dispensers empty with small partial roll on back of toilet. No trash cans. Ceiling vent in bathroom ceiling was hanging down and dirty. Bed was sunk towards the middle. Grounds were unkept. Litter strewn around the grounds.

Disappointed
The room was clean but one queen bed was hard as a rock, old mattress. An overhead light was flickering the 3 days we were there. The breakfast our first day was terrible, no eggs, baked French toast, no drinks or coffee ready at 8:30. Also you had to walk outside to go to the breakfast area and the seating area felt like a freezer. Noises in the hall and rooms next door were very loud, someone was throwing up all night and kept us awake. Coffee in the lobby was usually gone the first hour. The hallways were freezing. We only stayed here because my parents recommended it, big mistake.

Only two dirty smelly towels in the room. No hand towels or wash cloths. Hair and dirt in bathroom. Not sure if it has been cleaned in awhile. Beds were made though.

Terrible
We booked two adjoining rooms. When we arrived, we were told our rooms were not only not adjoining but were not even on the same hall. When we expressed displeasure, we were told to wait and they would check on rooms on another hall. We were given the keys to these rooms. When we entered the first room, there was a bad smell, the TV was on, and upon further inspection, it looked like the room had not been cleaned. (The toilet had urine on the seat.) We went back to the front desk to get our money back so we could go to another hotel. We were told our card had not been charged yet, and we left. A few days later, the charge showed up on our online statement. We tried to resolve it with our bank but got a response that because we received services, there would be no refund.

DO NOT STAY HERE
In short: BED BUGS, thick dust from the carpets to the lamps, dirty mirrors, "presents" left from someone blowing their nose in the shower- all over it. Microwave was dirty with old food. Blood or something resembling on the bed covering. Mold on the ceiling- both rooms. Both rooms had dirty showers and shower curtains were filthy- grime all over the tub. There were no bed bugs visible in the second room and the only positive note I can say is that the bed was comfortable with clean sheets. No breakfast after pulling myself out of bed with no sleep (because a gas line broke and they began drilling from 2am onwards) was all cleaned up by 8:50am - it is only served until 9am. In the end I only wanted some fresh fruit as I did not want to eat on the property- IT IS NOT CLEAN.

Cleanluness...TV...Breakfast
Room linens dirty and spotted up. Bath tub needed cleaned and new caulking. Looked like black mold in it. Tv didnt work. Front desk tried no luck. Offered to move but at 1030Pm ww were unpacked and ot an option. Eve. Room next doors tv didnt work. Also tbe phone didnt work in room. Had to walk to lobby for the help. Breakfast was dried up snd in another building you had to.walk to. Would not stay again. Owner in California not willing to remodel or spend money.

Never stay here!
Only stay here if you enjoy very poor room cleaning service, a worn out bed, broken microwave, and no towels!

I will never stay there again i will make sure you have no customer from me i reserved it 3 weeks a head of time the room was nasty potato chips in the bed no towels nasty they put us in another room it was just as bad

Lazy and Unprofessional Business
I’m originally from the area, so putting my money back into the community is appealing. Upon entering the lobby, I noticed the staff were all dressed in sweatshirts and hoodies The place has a general feeling of being old and a bit rundown. In the room, I found a burned out light in the bathroom, stains on the carpet, gouges in the Wall, chipped paint, and a broken lamp shade. The room’s temperature is controlled by a wall unit that uses a dial to set the air. There is no way to indicate actual temperature. It’s a guess. The worst came later. As I was pulling back the bedding for the night, I immediately found a large stain on the bottom sheet. It appeared to be an old blood stain. It was large enough, and in a prominent enough place that it could not have been missed in housekeeping clean-up. It simply was ignored. I removed the sheet and took it to the front desk right away. There were no apologies and sadly, the front desk person didn’t even appear surprised. I was offered a new sheet that I would have to place on the bed as a solution and compensation. I would not, under any circumstances, recommend this “hotel.”

Pretty dated facility. Room was OK - outdoor entrances. You get what you pay for and if you are only staying for business travel or using it as a one-night stopover, it is definitely a fit. Front-desk person was very nice.

Room was dirty. Soap scum was all over the sink. There was a coffee maker and no pot to make coffee in. No cups for water or coffe. Could not get WiFi to connect. Front door to the room was hard to open and shut (would stick). There were no shampoo or soap samples.

Horrible place it's trash
Place is dirty no towels sink didn't work had to call for toilet paper wash rags and blankets just a bad experience

Wedding stay disaster
I will never stay at this hotel again. The conditions were filthy. Our room was not clean at all. The carpet had not been vacuumed and it was obvious by the fact that the refrigerator had been removed and the dirt under it was still there. The beds had not been made and one bed did not have a fitted sheet. The TV did not work and after calling and getting no help I figured out how to hook it up myself. The bath room was worse. It had not been cleaned or restocked. It had 2 towels for 4 people for 2 days. There was hair in the tub, sink floor and on the toilet. The hallway had trash, drywall and paint lids in the hall all weekend. Their hot breakfast did not exist. We were fearful for our safety. Saturday night when we returned. Lobby was locked up and when they let us in they explained they were waiting for the police because of 2 mean roaming the property. When er got to our room the 2 mean were in our wing!!! The staff were not helpful at all. When we checked out the young lady at the desk had her boyfriend and a baby with her. Not professional at all. The pictures on this site and others are false advertising. I am from this area originally and have been to this hotel for events in the past. These pictures were taken when it was locally owned and that has been a long time ago. Do yourself a favor and DONT STAY HERE.
