The only place in America where motel & hotel owners expected you you to be grateful for booking over priced, over-rated junk, but hey, it's the Keys way of life, right? Wrong. Vintage and historic are just fancy words for painted rust. Which basically describes the Keys. This hotel has the nerve to both call itself a resort and even charge a resort fee. It's the furthest thing away from a resort. It's a run down motel. Three...

“Lovely vintage motel/apartments. Built in 1969 but remodeled. We stayed in a 2/2 with kitchen. Full sized refrigerator, sink, gas 4 burner stove top, microwave and nice counter space. Both bathrooms had showers and nice sized sink with vanity. Comfortable pull out love seat in living/dining area. Nice beach chairs with umbrellas on Oceanside. No beach but a beautiful view! Last but not least the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast very good.”

“We stayed for 1 night and it was great! Not a luxury property but perfect for what its meant to do! Comfortable beds, fridge, microwave, table with chairs, enough towels very clean, we would stay again! Simple but clean and comfortable!”

“Mermaid 1 was a very clean and newly designed room the king bed was comfortable slept very well. The room had everything you needed. Our outdoor space was great. Parking was annoying because of some construction but everything room wise was great. I only wish the pool was bigger and had more of a hotel pool feel it was dirty and rundown. The store was great and the excursions fun.”
