"Expensive for this type of hotel"

"We loved this stay!! I was a bit upset with the check in process at first, but it was my own fault. If you are booking here, they will send out a form to fill out prior to check in. Unfortunately I didn't see them, but once I contacted the host it was smooth sailing and they were very responsive. The place itself was perfect and had everything we needed. The location was not far from most attractions downtown, about an 18 minute walk. There are also stores nearby for groceries which was super nice. There is also an onsite playground where my LO loved to play. The pool was wonderful!! We basically had it to ourselves. The hot tub was lackluster but we didn't go for that so didn't affect our stay. All in all, I highly recommend!"

"Clean room, somewhat run down. Definitely needs upgrades. No way to cool down tbe rooms as the hotel had air conditioning tuened off for the whole building. Super hot in the room unless we opened the window. Then once window opened, we couldnt hear tv as it was so noisy outside. Didnt eat breakfast there as way too expensive for breakfast. Very convenient to a lot of things which is nice. Staff was very friendly. Online states there is a bunny petting zoo which they domt have anymore. Kids pool was gine but they shut down the slide for maintenence when we were there. "

"The room was great, comfortable bed, however the lack of a table or desk to work on was inconvenient. Could really remove the mini bar space and provide a table or something. Staff was great. The Lobby is very cramped quarters with not a lot of options if not wanting to spend high prices at the Alder. Thankfully there are plenty of options outside of the hotel."
