The breathtaking views of the river/reservoir of Guatapé are well presented as a backdrop of the Brown hotel. The restaurant felt upscale and the unlimited delicious breakfast and dinner did not disappoint. Get the breakfast included in your package -it’s a GREAT VALUE. Diego our server at the lobby level restaurant was outstanding - anticipating our needs before we even articulated them. We did a beautiful tour of the reservoir and a tour to climb the Piedra Del Peñol and see the small city in Guatape -Gabriel was an excellent tour guide. I enjoyed The Brown so much I’m honestly considering coming back for my 50th next year for a few days with friends. The room was a little small but who cares when you have a large balcony with breathtaking views of the river. The food, vibe, and atmosphere didn’t disappoint. Also what a beautiful gym. Go here - you’ll feel like you found a best kept secret!!

One of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Views of the lake are amazing from the room and restaurants. Breakfast buffet is amazing and the pool, jacuzzi area are very relaxing.

The view from our room was amazong. The hot tub in the balcony was great. The room has everything we needed. A well stocked fridge (extra cost). Huge and comfy bed. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the staff is very friendly. Transportation to and from The Brown is very easy. I highly recommend this hotel. It was only my wife and I, but we saw families with kids, but I would recommend it for a romantic getaway.

The view is outstanding and the facilities are beautiful. The food was also very good. However, there was no Christmas decorations whatsoever; and the staff at the breakfast were not very attentive. The food is also extremely overpriced for Colombia.
