“Value for money compared to most other places I've stayed in the Hunter. The Lane Retreat is at the upper end, however the provided breakfasts, the view overlooking the ranges and vineyards, and the ease of a receptionless checkin, makes this the go-to for our future stays.”
“I loved everything about my stay here, from the wonderful staff, to the fantastic restaurant and bar downstairs, to the quaint little room upstairs. Very historic, very fun.”
“We had such a beautiful stay here and have already recommended it to everyone we know. The spa/pool was a dream and everything was so peaceful. The restaurant was delicious aswell.
The only 2 baby flaws I had was that there was some rubbish by the spa on our first day and it was still there the following morning (it had just blown down a bit). It was only like a wrapper or something plastic but rubbish in general grosses me out. The other was that the big outdoor fireplace wasn’t put on and we...
“The resort was very clean and tidy. The room was well appointed and bed was very comfortable. Plenty of room to spread-out.
The supplied continental breakfast was ok but the bread for toasting was very dry and stale.
The outside grounds were very well kept and a credit to the ground's keeper.
The property is out of town and has lovely views.
I would happily stay again.”
“This was a really maginificent place to stay in the heart of Morpeth. It's in a fabulous historic building. The rooms are big, the bed is comfy and there's a great guest lounge. A lovely continental breakfast is included. The owner is wonderful and very helpful.
This definitely THE place to stay in Morpeth.”
