“A lovely stay at the Lion hotel, Very quiet and friendly hotel. Choice of food very restricted in restaraunt. Which was a little disappointing.”

“The room had two relatively minor issues: 1. The toilet flush was terrible. Difficult to flush. Impossible with long flush, hit and miss with short flush. 2. The toilet roll holder was in need of securing. Toilet rolls inevitably fell to the floor when used. As I said these issues were relatively minor but were an ongoing irritant.”

“We checked ourselves in and left a couple of hours later (no staff seen). I hadn’t realised I’d booked a room with shared bathroom and the bathroom was on first floor and we were on the second - we only saw one shower and 2 toilets for all the shared rooms. There’s half carpet in the standalone toilet, which is gross. The rooms themselves are fine, a bit rough round the edges. “A very welcoming place to stay, staff are very attentive and ideally located. We had 2 rooms Both with balconies which was lovely to watch the sunset. Great sea views and lovely to wake up to the sound of the sea. Very quiet and cute place to stay. Highly recommend - wished we had booked for 2 nights… one was not enough …!”

“The best part was the breakfast, very good and very polite individual. The room was cold, no hot water to shower, no one around to solve the issue. All in house amenities not in use. No bar. No service, no contact. It's 2 miles from town, so taxi us essential. It's the sort of place that picture perfect... But you'll only go once. I do not think this is a hotel but more a bed and breakfast as you have to pay for an evening meal in the bar/restaurant downstairs every night along with any drinks, you are unable to charge them to your room.
