Nice staff but needs a lot of work
Parts of the hotel have been renovated but several areas have a very shabby appearance with tiles missing from the floor and broken doors. Our first room was in a section that did not appear to be renovated and nothing worked - no phone, no WiF. We moved the bed to find a plug-in and discovered filth and debris. We were given another room, vacated by one of the managerial staff who removed most of his belongings and were told there were clean sheets on the bed. However, there were no sheets just a blanket and what looked like a sheet that served as a counterpane. During the evening we ran out of facial tissue but they couldn't supply any more. As the final straw there was only one bedside lamp that didn't work so we groped our way to bed.
While we were there the hotel was almost full and the staff were swamped by requests from other guests because lamps, Tv's etc did not work which meant that there was often no one manning the reception desk to help other guests.
