“We were looking for a bit more of a fall getaway spot while visiting our son at UMASS. This b&b is a 40 minute drive away but it’s a beautiful drive. It’s also very close to the boarder of vermont and new hampshire. Lots of great hiking near by. Great bbQ nearby in millers falls. Joan & Steve were very nice hosts. Our hosts were very kind, and put generous effort into providing delicious breakfasts, giving suggestions about local attractions, and allowing us as much or as little cat time as we wanted. The room we were in was very cozy, with a comfortable bed, and thoughtful touches such as a water kettle for tea or coffee, a small fridge, and a TV setup we didn’t take advantage of. “Terry is a wonderful host and she prepares delicious breakfasts. The home is charming and it sits on a lake with a view of Mount Monadanock. There is a fridge stocked with soft drinks, wine and beer (complimentary). There is a TV room. Terry prepares a nice mid-afternoon snack. We think it is the best B & B.”
