โThis hotel is a beautiful place. Some rooms remain me my Mother in law house. I got the unique and only big suite with a panoramic View which I enjoy a lot. โ
โLove the hotel. Big room with a view on the square. We stayed to nights and found the location perfect for walking or taking an Uber. Water and tea available in the lobby. โ
โA fine and warmly family operated old building tastefully updated to meet the needs of travelers visiting the area. And just an easy block and a half walk from the Plaza Grande; what more could you ask for? looking hard to find something to fault, the only thing I can think of is that the showerhead was a little difficult to reach in order to direct the flow of water. I hope that Lucia and her son Luis will be there to welcome me when I next visit their fair city.โ
โHi highly recommend this hidden gem of a hotel near Old Town Quito. Mario and Blanco were fantastic hosts from helping us during our very late arrivals, to a wonderful breakfast each morning, helping us with suggestions on where to go in Old Town, making our dinner reservation & transport to the airport. All were perfect! โ
โMy 5 stars are sincere. If I'm lucky enough to be able to return to Quito I would stay here again without hesitation. The location is excellent, directly between Plaza Grande and La Basilica, the colonial building is very nicely restored, the room was comfortable, and the staff was extremely kind and attentive. โEverything was excellent! James at the front desk really made us feel welcomed. He was super helpful arranging our transportation from and to the airport. He also set up breakfast boxes for our early departure. Breakfast at the hotel was really good. โ
โLoved the hostel. Has the historic rustic vibe. Have daily events and walking tour on board schedule. In or around the old historic town. Not walking distance from your typical Holiday Inn and restaurants but closer to the typical Ecuadorian life style and food. Its like a maze inside the hostel with creaking wood floor.โ
โAll the staff were exceptional. Breakfast was limited but okay. I requested a room with a view, but didnโt realize it was 6 floors upโwith no elevator! Do I asked for a lower-level room and got one on the third floor. The next night I moved to a lower floor, however, it was very noisy. Good thing I had my ear plugs. The location is fantastic!โ
