The COVID-19 pandemic may have changed how we travel, but it hasn't shut down our zest for exploring. Here are a few tips on how to navigate the new challenges of traveling:

• Investigate what rules and restrictions apply to both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so be sure to check in advance.
• You must wear a face mask at the airport, including at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA employee.
• Avoid handing your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee. Instead, position the pass on the reader and then hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will have to be removed from your bag to be screened.
• To minimize handling during screening, place personal items such as your belt, phone and wallet into your carry-on instead of into the bins.
• If you're taking food through the screening checkpoint, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA employee will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.

As passengers and cabin crew begin traveling again, most reputable airlines have implemented social distancing and other important measures to lessen the spread of COVID-19. Here are some of them:
