Staff were nice but kind of disappointed of the breakfast they offered, I guess better than nothing. I would have go with the price without breakfast included and eat my breakfast around, there are lot of nice restaurants in the area

The staff are the friendliest here. We came for the Canadian Ski Marathon. Too bad there was no snow. The rooms are simple: warm, comfortable. There is a wax room in the basement. They start serving breakfast (incl) at 3 45am for the Gold skiers. Highly recommend.

Building dating 1905 with extension. STAFF very welcoming, river view when asked. Not perfect but we feel right. Charming village

To keep this relevant, we paid $210.00 for a night here where down the street it costs $485.00(and has a two night min stay) at the Chateau Montebello. My expectations were not high and we got what we paid for. If you need a inexpensive hotel for the night that is clean and the staff are welcoming then you will do okay here. If you are expecting anything more, then don't stay here. The hotel is very dated and basic. It is not pretty, the hallways are cool(saving on the heating bill), the bed mattress was just passable for one night, and should have been replaced years ago. If any hotel is serious about being successful, the most basic thing you need is a good quality mattress. They failed miserably here. I won't be back, but as mentioned, it all comes down to your expectations and your budget.

Quaint old building with view of Ottawa river. Restaurant “Bistro” within walking distance was good. Well known Chateau Monticello nearby worth a visit to see amazing fireplace and grounds

The Auberge is in the middle of a small Quebec town, close to a small supermarket. The bistro that's about a 10 minute walk away has great food.

The room was nicely furnished with antiques, it was a very quaint hotel. Manager was pleasant and checkin was quick and simple. We got a waffle made for us and cold boiled eggs with coffee for breakfast, that was sufficient. I also felt the place clean!

It was very enjoyable and soo close to shopping, restaurants and everything you need. Montebello is very picturesque!

To give the rooms for complete 24 hours, we got there at 8:00 PM and left at 10:30 of the next day, we used it only for 14 Hours, although the rent was for 24 hours.

Fine in a pinch. Not worth the price
The room wasn’t bad but the extreme smell of curry throughout the entire building including in the room itself was extremely disappointing. I needed a safe place to sleep for the night so I made the best of it.

A Memorable Experience
The owners are an engaging couple who have more than a decade of hospitality experience. They are courteous and most helpful. Their hotel is clean and well managed. My stay was made memorable when they facilitated a friend’s surprise gift of wine and roses then added their own extra special offering of birthday cake and candles. Personalized friendly service at it’s best!
