This is an excellent B&B. Owners and staff are all so very charming and accomodating. Whimsical, historical, comfortable place to stay. Evening wine and morning breakfast were done expertly. Be aware the third floor rooms are small, which put off another reviewer, however we were aware going in. Best B&B we've ever visited.

Wonderful hospitality at this bed and breakfast! We loved our spacious room, the bocce ball court and the delicious breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Magical Stay in Monterey
Amazing stay in a perfect location, a 3-minute walk to Cannery Row, wonderful hosts who pay attention to all the details, Warm welcoming with wine and appetizers, and delicious homemade breakfast. The room was cozy and comfortable. The decor and grounds of the Jabberwock Inn are magical especially if you're a fan of Wonderland.

The hosts did everything they could to make us feel right at home and we needed the relaxation we found here. Breakfast was delicious and the hotel was super walkable with free parking for our rental that we didn't need here. I could not ask for a better stay and we will stay here anytime in Monterey.

This is the most amazing B&B we have ever stayed at. Facilities were located near Cannery Row and aquarium. Rooms and lounges comfortable. Food was very delicious and owners and staff great . Will definately return.

Birthday get-away
We have stayed at the Inn several times over the years. Greeted at door and given tour of house. Beautiful grounds. Breakfast was delicious and beverages were provided 24 hours. Plus homebaked goods out also. Within walking distance of restaurants for dinner.

This bed and breakfast was absolutely fantastic. For my first time experiencing a bed in breakfast I no longer want to do high end hotels that cost massive amounts of money. Although, it is nice to have extremely modern amenities, the level of individual care to each guest makes a world of difference. The property is Alice in Wonderland themed. It is walking distance to everything in Monterey. Cannery row, the aquarium, and many markets. The breakfast they served was delicious and very filling. Everything homemade and nothing frozen. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The Jabberwock Inn is nicely situated a short walk from the ocean and an easy drive in from the freeway. It was easy to find and easy to park. The Cannery and other things are just a short walk away. There are some lovely views from the hotel over the ocean. I was met by the hosts when I arrived and was made to feel very welcome and very much at home. I was shown round and given some of the interesting history of the building. There was also complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres. There is no dinner served here but I was given a selection of recommendations tailored to my preferences and I took up one of these (the Fish Hopper) which was just a short walk away The hotel itself is absolutely dripping with charm and character, I found myself taking as many photos inside the place as I did outside in the town! My room was of a pleasant size, with a nice large bed which was very comfortable. I had a nice en suite with a shower and all the expected "consumables" provided. I was also provided with some brandy which was unexpected but a welcome night cap. Breakfast was lovely, very unique and well presented and all done with absolute care and attention to detail. Everything in the place is down to the last detail. It is an utter delight. I was kinda sad to leave when it was time to check out, again a most friendly and agreeable process.

Wonderful stay and very helpful with everything Monterey. Rick and Suzanne were such great hosts. Gave great recommendations for hiking and eating out. Great place nearby Cannery Row
We loved staying here! The staff are great and the place is really cute. We felt very safe - lots of covid precautions in place. There are also lots of places to sit inside and out that were socially distant. The food is great, too! This place is secluded yet is close enough to Cannery Row. We’ll definitely come back!

Beautiful historic house on beautiful grounds. Also, a very short walk (down a hill) to the center of town and the ocean/aquarium. Staff super friendly and helpful. Note: No tvs in rooms and one room does not have the bathroom en suite. Fine fine place.

This lovingly maintained, Craftsman style home, is within walking distance of the Monterey Aquarium and Cannery Row. Staying there was a sheer delight. The owners are justly proud of their Alice in Wonderland themed bed and breakfast. We found the owners and staff throughly wonderful.

A truly lovely experience. A gorgeous old house with wonderful views. A very solicitous staff. Cocktail hour and breakfast were both excellent and included. And the quirky Wonderland theme was well carried out throughout. Easy walk to Cannery Row and the Aquarium. I think they pay the deer who wander through the garden in rosebuds, but even they seemed happy. Definitely would come back.

Perfect Monterey stay!
Jabberwock Inn was the perfect place to stay in Monterey. It was close to the harbor and nice shops and restaurants. The most amazing thing about the Inn was definitely the staff. Dorothy was so friendly and welcoming, I've probably never met someone so helpful! They have menus of close-by restaurants there and Dorothy made us a reservation from a really good restaurant. They had complimentary wine and snacks in the evening which was a super nice surprise! And the snacks were amazing. Also the breakfast that was served in the morning by Rick was really really good. We almost wouldn't have wanted to leave the beautiful Jabberwock premises because we felt like home there!

In the interest of full disclosure, I have never stayed at a bed-and-breakfast until this experience. That said, I cannot imagine better facilities and service than we had and received at the Jabberwock Inn. The attention to detail in all aspects of the Inn is astounding, from the landscaping, to the cleanliness, to the amenities, to the furniture and accents, to the charming and unique Lewis Carroll touches. The staff is exceptional as well. Upon our arrival, we were greeted and given a tour by a wonderful hostess/manager, who also makes dinner suggestions and even reservations at local restaurants for the guests. The Inn also provides a delicious afternoon snack of cheeses, fruit, wine, etc. And both the presentation and the taste of the breakfast items were amazing. We only stayed 2 nights at the Jabberwock, but all of our family of 4 wished it had been more. I am very much looking forward to planning another, longer vacation to explore the area more fully, and I will definitely stay at the Jabberwock.
