“We have stayed at quite a few motels during our Canadian/US roadtrip and this motel is right up there as one of our favourites. The rooms were clean and tidy, after a long days drive we were happy to order a freshly made pizza with some cool drinks and sit on the patio and enjoy the view over the river. "The location is excellent. Overall, the staff are friendly. The rooms are spacious and decent, but they do not meet the high-end quality I imagined when booking. It's an average hotel, but it has a few drawbacks.
Firstly, it was listed as offering free breakfast, but instead of an actual free breakfast, they provide a credit that can be used like a voucher for the total amount. The breakfast itself is not great for the price, so it doesn’t seem worth selecting. Additionally, there is no bathtub in the bathroom, which is a disappointing omission.
The tap water is also quite murky. They claim it’s mineral water, but it just looks dirty. Being sensitive, I also experienced minor skin irritation after using the water.
The pool and fitness center are somewhat small but usable. This hotel is $40–50 more expensive than others, and I booked it for the pool and breakfast as its advantages, but they weren’t particularly necessary, as the experience is ultimately similar to other hotels.
