“Loved the ambience of this house filled with so many period features. Even better were our hosts David and Lindy who went out of their way to obtain help for me when I fell ill during the night and required hospitalization. The following day, David drove my partner to the hospital to pick me up. A stay at The Laurels is like visiting with old friends, sitting in the living room with other guests of an evening with a glass of wine and a selection of snacks. Breakfast could not have been better....

“Super spacious, quiet and clean modern 2 bedroom unit, fully stocked, beautiful rooms with a private courtyard, comfortable beds and fluffy towels. Private foyer and entrance in a stand-alone building within the motel complex. Loved that there’s actually ample seating space in living and dining room and towel hanging spots for 6 people. The smart TV even comes with sound bar home theatre setup. Aircon/heating in each room and living room. Was expecting a fair amount of road noise as it was right...

“A comfortable stay at this modest motel. Everything worked well and the rooms were clean. Area was quiet day and night with a nice countryside feel. It was a means to an end really as there is limited accommodation options in Picton. The distance from town was too far to walk and taxi options are very limited. There is a nice restaurant attached with great dining options of good quality and reasonably priced. ”

“Rooms are beautiful and tastefully decorated. Bathrooms are a bit on the small side but other wise in room ammenities are ample. Breakfast was lovely and satisfying set in a gorgeous space with beautiful views. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful Highlands weekend away. ”

“Our stay was great! We had a room with a view of the golf course, our room was clean and freshly renovated. Had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Staff from reception through to bar staff were all very polite and eager to help when needed. ”
