“The rooms are recently renovated. The inside was very clean. This hotel is a work in progress as many others and I hope them all the best in bringing this place up to full glamor once again. I was always brought to small motels/hotels as a kid and now I root for all the people that are trying to keep these older establishments running. I encourage others to give this a stay. “We stayed in the newly renovated cottage “White House” which is very spacious and clean with fully equipped kitchen. My daughter loves the chicken coop and small vegetable garden behind the cottage. The owner and staff were very friendly and treated us very nicely! The area is a bit remote and away from the town center with limited dinning options. If we come back again we will likely stay in the inn which is the main house with lots of interesting artifacts and also the benefit of homemade...
“My boyfriend and I have stayed in the yurts a few times and we love it. It’s quiet, right on the lake. The cell reception is minimal (which is a nice break for the both of us) we absolutely love it here. It’s a short drive to penn yan for coffee or shopping or ice cream. Neither of us are drinkers but if you like wine, there are also several wineries nearby. Overall this is a great little getaway that we will keep coming back to. ”
“I was pleasantly surprised by this place; the motel was nicely updated, and the room had everything you could need: microwave, a good-sized mini-fridge, an ironing board, etc. Also, the beds were super comfortable; nice linens, pillows, and down comforter. I will definitely stay here again when I attend another show at CMAC. ”
