"Lovely hotel, extremely friendly staff. Room clean and stylish, with a large, well stocked bathroom. Fridge in room was a useful addition and full teas and coffee both in room and downstairs at reception for no additional cost. Perfect location as well, just 10 minutes walk from Waverley. Would definitely recommend staying again! 5 stars"

The Balmoral Hotel

"The Balmoral Hotel was impeccable and very clean. The door mans were always very polite and helpful. The location is excellent near the Waverley train station and within a decent walk to Old Edinburgh. The only disappointment was that we had an emergency and wanted to leave one day earlier but the Hotel management refused to give a credit or a even a partial refund. We were forced to stay the extra night since the room fee was very high."

"Perfect, most convenient location…walking distance to all the main sites. Very clean, cosy, well designed/laid out micro-sized rooms - I had a double bed that works especially well for solo travellers but also for couples or parent + child. The 24hr coffee/tea station downstairs/lobby level cafe was also a great feature and had a nice, casual, comfortable, welcoming vibe. The luggage storage for a few hours post checkout is super convenient & I much appreciated it! All the staff are very nice & welcoming."

"This was a really cute aparthotel. Easy to find with the directions they gave and in a cute neighborhood. Close access to the tram and a ton of restaurants, plus the shopping mall is about a 5 minute walk away. Having laundry in the room was super helpful and the washer worked great. The only downside was that one of the blinds would not go the full way down and in the summer when the sun sets at 11pm it could make it difficult for people to fall asleep/ stay asleep."
