I have mixed feelings about this hotel, although I'd most likely stay again. I ended up needing this room on short notice, and booked it late in the evening via Expedia on the night I needed the room. The price was reasonable, and it was in a decent location in Brooklyn. After paying online, once I arrived at the hotel I simply needed to show my identification, no cc was required for a security deposit, which I appreciated.
The room itself was perfectly clean, with good AC which was important since I was there during a June heatwave... All standard lotions/soaps/shampoos were available in the bathroom, and the bed was comfortable although the sheets were a little thin but clean.
The reason for the mixed reviews is the other guests. Throughout the night I was woken up by loud talking/yelling, and at one point fighting. A woman was pounding hard on a door next to mine screaming to be let back in. This went on for some time until I fell back asleep while she was still screaming. My issue is I don't really know if this is the typical type of crowd at this hotel (I thought back to the no credit card required), or if it was just bad luck that I was next to a room or two where the people were getting crazy (I couldn't really tell if all the noise was from one room or if it was a general trend).
At the end of the day I had no complaints about the room itself, And I appreciate it the ease of booking and late check-in. Would probably give it another chance.
