Loved staying at this brownstone in Brooklyn. It is an old house; it is not perfect - there are creaks and cracks, but it is a home, not a hotel. Most people looking for a B&B should be able to appreciate all that. Three of us stayed in the Fitzgerald room, where we shared a bathroom with another room (the O'Neal). During our 4 day/3 night stay, we had to wait for the bathroom twice, and neither was a long wait. Shower water pressure was fantastic, and we never had an issue with the temperature. Our room was spacious, and there was plenty of room for an extra twin bed.
There are two subway stations within walking distance, with the Prospect Park station (B/Q/S) being the closest and most direct walk. Take time to explore Prospect Park and enjoy some of what it has to offer - not only beautiful walking trails but also events like the Greenmarket on Saturdays and Smorgasburg on Sundays. It also includes the Prospect Park Zoo, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, which is free on Tuesdays. There is a wonderful market/deli on the corner by the Prospect Park station that you'll pass to/from the B&B if you need a snack, meal, or groceries (there is a mini fridge in the room).
Self check in/out was convenient, and we wouldn't even have seen staff if it weren't for the package we had delivered there. There were hot beverages in the parlor as well as cold bottles of water, a selection of books, and a computer and printer. I'd be happy to stay here again!
