Carlisle Station Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by BW
8/10 Good
"The property is located right next to the railway station. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good. I booked a single, however an upgrade to a double on the first floor as the life was out of order. Two short flights of stairs I can manage that with my condition. However if your wheelchair bound it’s not for you or mobility is restricted till of course the lift is repaired. It dose state this when you book and the hotel will accommodate you if you can manage the stairs.
Reception are is lovely well laid out area.
The twin room I was given was suitable for disability but not walk in shower the bath is however low enough the toilet is raised. The bathroom shower was clean. And a slip mat on the back of the door.
My only issue was the soap and hand lotion was not placed near the hand basin. This was on the opposite side next to the toilet so you wet your hand and apply the soap unfortunately you wet the floor as you walk over to the other side to put the soap on. Safety hazard you now have a trail of water on the floor a slip waiting to happen.
The room was clean and well laid out telephone to reception tea and coffee. Wardrobe held the iron board iron fan and heater. Comfortable as the heating works well."
