"We were upgraded to a corner balcony with a perfect view of the Entrance to the Balboa Pier and a beautiful Full moon that shown on the water! Also, it was Prom Night and there were gorgeous Ball Gowns on all the lovely young ladies with there very handsome and well-behaved young men!"

"I was disappointed with my stay at Hyatt Regency Newport Beach. The property feels very outdated and did not meet the standards I expect from a Hyatt Regency. The rooms and common areas showed significant wear and lacked the modern, upscale atmosphere advertised in the photos. The amenities felt inexpensive and below what I would consider appropriate for a hotel in this price range. The toiletries appeared low quality, and overall the experience felt more budget-oriented than luxury. Several aspects of the room gave the impression that corners were being cut rather than providing a premium guest experience. For the rates charged, I expected cleaner, more updated accommodations and better attention to detail. The hotel has potential due to its location, but the property itself needs renovation and investment to justify its pricing and brand reputation. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay here again unless significant updates are made to the rooms, amenities, and overall guest experience."

"Loved staying here! Wasn’t in the hotel much (we spent most of our time out and about), but the room was clean and we had complimentary shampoo and conditioner which was nice. The staff was very friendly!"

"We stayed here for one night cause I had an event to attend the next morning and we don't live nearby. First, the 30 dollar parking was insane and there was huge trucks double parked so we were lucky to squeeze in somewhere. Second the room was missing a nightstand and a lightbulb, I had to move the bed because one of the lights was unplugged and considering we only had one other light with a lightbulb, we needed it, no tissues, half a roll of toilet paper with no refill and there were no cups for the coffee machine. My friend met up with us cause she had a little too much to drink so we asked if we could upgrade the room if there was one available with 2 beds (mind you this was around midnight). There was, but then I showed the front desk attendant the photos of everything wrong with our room and ask if he could at least comp her parking and he said no. So then I asked if he could at least make sure the room had all it's parts and tissues and enough TP for 3 people (2 of them being women). It was better except, he gave us 1 cup for 3 people and we were still missing a light bulb. The pumps for the shower toiletries were broken. The hospitality was definitely lacking. The only thing about this place that is worth staying is that it is conveniently located to the beach and near venues and restaurants. But for the price and parking fee I'm sure you can find a better place."
