"This was a beautiful experience, it felt like a real Japanese lifestyle, the owners were very serviceable and so sweet, it is a genuine place, not like a modern ryokan, this was the real deal"

"Its a "romance hotel," which I didn't realize until I got there, so I was naturally confused when I entered the front door as there is no reception desk just 4 buttons you can press to select your room type and a phone. I stood around confused for long enough that a nice employee saw me confused on a security camera and came to help. When I entered my room there is a credit card machine, and other amenities for your stay, including the "romantic" items available for use. It was an unusually...

"We did not realize that dinner and breakfast was not included even though it said kaiseki meal in the description. One of the nearby restaurants was closed and the other would not seat foreigners. The staff did offer to call us a taxi to take us to a restaurant 10 minutes away, but we ended up eating snacks from the hotel store for dinner. Luckily we were able to add on breakfast the following morning.
But our room was wonderful, staff was helpful, and the property was gorgeous."
"We stayed in the Double Room, Non Smoking (15 sqm). The room is compact but efficient, with a small bath tub in the bathroom and a humidifier that you fill with your own water before switching on. Free hot drinks are available at the lobby throughout the day.
Check in was smooth and straightforward, and the hotel already had our Expedia reservations ready. As with most Japanese hotels, copies of our passports were taken at registration. Coin laundry facilities are available at the lobby, along with vending machines for drinks and beer. The washer costs Y200 for a 31 minute cycle, detergent is Y30, and the dryer is Y100 for every 10 minutes.
The location is excellent. The hotel sits just across the road from Toyama Station and is also beside a Family Mart, making it very convenient for quick snacks and essentials. A shopping mall with multiple food options is within short walking distance.
Luggage delivery via Ta-Q-Bin was easy to arrange. Each bag requires its own slip, and the process was handled efficiently by the hotel."
"The hotel is situated conveniently next to a mall with great food and shopping. We only stayed a night - would have loved to stay a couple more nights to enjoy Toyama. "
"Check out was smooth and good. I was able to check out early and was given a refund with a small cancelation feel. I mistakenly reserved a smoking room which was my mistake but I was unable to change the room due to no vacancies. Amenities were very good and the room was comfortable for the price. It was conveniently located and near the main station.

"I thought the property was nice and close to Takaoka station. The room was pretty big compared to the average Japanese hotel, but the room chair for the desk was a simple stool. If you are someone who likes to go shopping at a grocery store for food, the nearest one was about 15-20 minute walk away. Not much was happening around this area, it didn't seem to offer much in tourist attractions, besides a few statues. If you are using it as a base to explore Toyama through Kanazawa, it's not too bad, but the local trains can be pretty crowded during rush hours. The nearest shinkansen station is a 20 minute train ride away. If you like a quiet town without the craziness of tourists, this place is a good stay."
