Every aspect of this property was perfection. Staff were impeccable. Property was immaculate. Room was amazing. Highest of recommendations.

Excellent beautiful property Staff extremely nice

If you’re planning a trip to Northern Portugal, do not miss this treasure. We felt so lucky to stay at the gorgeous recently renovated former convent. The design is stunning; the food is incredible, even if you only have breakfast or a light poolside lunch. There are many dining options in the town walkable from hotel. We skipped a trip to the beach—the hotel was that beautiful— infinity pool is wonderful. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough,

The facility is lovely and the service was beyond compare. The spa was among the very best I’ve been to, and the on site restaurant is excellent. It’s a bit of a walk to sites, but worth it to be removed from the crowds and have beautiful grounds with a pool. The hotel lives up to its 5-star rating.

I loved the location, the property, our room, the food, the service and all the staff. It was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The staff was friendly, helpful and wonderful. I cannot say enough nice things about them!!

This was by far one of the most luxurious high end hotels by far in Portugal, service was fantastic and you will be wow by the attention and overall everything from staff to clean room and great aesthetics

One of our favorite hotel experiences ever!! The hotel itself is understated luxury with subtle mid century decor and elements. The pool and spa with additional indoor pool, steam room, sauna, and gym were beautiful and really were a huge perk. The included breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and courteous. We can’t wait to visit again. Also, the wine that comes from the hotel’s vineyard was the best red wine we had on our trip. You won’t be disappointed staying here!...

For someone who wants the experience of a full five star hotel luxury amenities and service — Vidago Palace is your choice. Starting with the greeting at the royal entrance of the palace and exceptional reception service and ending with the spa treatments everything makes you feel like royalty😂 Not to mention their excellent breakfast and a Michelin star dinner we had for a special occasion. And of course a magic park surrounding the palace.

This five-star stone hotel is a true gem. The manicured gardens are stunning — every corner immaculately kept, perfect for peaceful morning walks. But what truly elevated our stay was the staff: warm, professional, and attentive at every turn. The management clearly sets a high standard, and it shows in the seamless, thoughtful service throughout — from check-in to housekeeping to dining. A beautiful property backed by a team that genuinely cares. Highly recommend! Management should be proud!

My husband and I stayed there for our 2nd anniversary after a few days on the Porto side as we were touring a few port lodges. I can't say better things about this hotel - the people (especially Tiago) were warm and friendly, and they event treated us to complimentary drinks at the bar since our room wasn't ready upon arrival. From the tour of the onsite wine collection (largest collection of Portugese wine in the world!), to the infinity pool, to the Michelin-starred restaurant ("The...

Words come short of telling how I truly feel about my experience. I have traveled to many places, stayed at 6 star resorts, but nothing comes close Six Senses-Douro. To the amazing staff members, to the delicious food, the spa, the hotel and the Wine....absolutley Perfection, with every detail so well thought out!!!!! Im counting down the days to summer 2018 for my next stay. Until then my heart is there!!!!!! Six Senses-Douro you have set the bar very high. Thank you for the most magical...

Staff were excellent and the room had an amazing view of Porto. The pool was lovely.

Amazing hotel! Beautiful location in a historic building with unbelievable views of the Douro and Dom Luis I Bridge. Accommodating and attentive staff, exquisite amenities including salt water pool, sauna, spa, kids club, massive breakfast, rooftop restaurant, convenient parking, etc. Easily accessible to old town Porto by foot/bike/ferry/gondola lift/Uber/Bolt/taxi (not worth driving into town). We fell in love with this place (our kids didn't want to leave!). Thank you for an amazing time,...

Nice, quiet and modern hotel. Close public parking. No elevator. Friendly staff. Good breakfast - the Expedia pricing doesn’t include breakfast.

Good size room, everything clean and good customer service. Totally recommended.

Beautiful property in a very walkable part of Porto. The breakfast was AMAZING and the staff were so friendly. We did a mother daughter trip and loved being able to sit on the balcony off our room or at the rooftop bar and enjoy some wine and the sunset in the evening.

We stayed in the palace portion of the hotel and it was lovely. Perfect location and amazing facilities. Would definitely like to stay here again.

The service was awesome! The staff was super nice! Special thanks to Claudia for taking such good care of us. We were treated like family members! If we ever go back to Porto, I will choose this hotel again.
