The rooms are so incredibly lovely, the howler monkeys surrounding the property are a delight but above all the staff is the best! Especially in the restaurant and bars - they are so incredibly welcoming and nice! Andres the bartender is a true mixologist (you have to try his mezcal cocktails)! “The property was incredibly well-maintained. All staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. A number of highlights, including the “Looking for Monkeys” tour and eco-adventure. Would highly recommend the complimentary activities, including smoothie making, cooking demonstration, kayaking, pickleball, and ebikes. ”

“Loved the food, staff, pools and beaches. Only critique is this, the game room isn't up to your resorts standards. Get a decent pool table, a real ping pong table. A card table, a dart board and maybe some TV screens. ”

“The property was beautiful. Everyone in the resort was extremely friendly and warm, especially, the 2 bartenders by the pool bar, Marcos and Manuel. Marcos and Manuel took an interest with everyone who visited the pool bar. They were both very attentive and caring with all of our drink orders. They made the whole trip more fun and welcoming. Would definitely recommend our friends and family to this resort but especially to visit Marcos and Manuel.”

“I had a nice stay at occidental however I feel the resort should update the lighting on the resort. At nite it’s pretty dark. And they need to have make sure your rooms are stocked with wash clothes. I went several days begging for wash clothes. I had to use the hand towels to bathe. And thank god one of my friends from the trip gave me one because she had multiple. And they also need to have options to eat after 10pm. ”
