“I will start with the positive. We got massages and the spa was nice. The massages were good. The steakhouse was wonderful and the manager there, the waitress and the staff throughout Oglebay were really good. Now for the not so good: We were there for our 40th anniversary, which they had in their system, but we were given a room in one of the lodge wings that only had a view of the wall belonging to the next building of rooms. “Solid golf course (Lakeview) for beginners or people who aren’t great at golf. Fairways are open and easy to stay in. Hotel was solid, friendly staff, easy commute to Cooper’s Rock, WVU, restaurants around. Shower pressure was a bit light but did the job. Highly recommend”

“This is a beautiful luxury resort with all the amenities and it has a super friendly atmosphere. The spa experience is top notch and the therapists are excellent. There were some areas that were not open and under renovation during our stay. There were also a few restaurants that were closed which made the selection limited. Still, the accommodations are beautiful and the 2200 acres spectacular. A lot to see and do so if you are alone or traveling with kids there are plenty of activities.”
