“We stayed in room 36. Updated/renovated one. Pros - Check-in was easy. The housekeeper allowed us to use her code to check in 2 hours early. Pet friendly. Aside from hair in the shower, it was clean. Beds comfy. ATV trails right there! Right on main road so it can get noisy. Plenty of parking. It is pet-friendly. “I booked a unit which has a loft and they moved me to a smaller one without ever telling me. So, someone had to sleep on the futon which was disgusting and so uncomfortable it’s not suitable for sleeping (needs a new mattress). There were no sheets for it either. The place was relatively clean except for REALLY gross carpet and one thing that is inexcusable. There was rat poop in the silverware drawer and in the pots/pans. The back deck is fantastic but I would still never stay here again!”

“Everything about The Hostel of Maine impressed me. The location was perfect, free shuttles to local restaurants and ski resort. Great customer service! Beautiful place! I expected to go just once. I just left and I already want to go back. Definitely a 10 out of 10!”
