โWe were greeted by host as soon as well drove in. The place was clean, smelled clean. I wish we had more time to explore the grounds. Very close to Foxwoods. The bed was great, comfy. Definitely will be back.โ
โEverything is "unique" about Captain Grant's!...The perfect hosts Carol and Ted; the ambience; the beautiful furnishings; the cozy room with all the amenities; the absolutely fabulous breakfast w/ mimosas, pancakes with real maple syrup and blueberry topping on a exquisitely, complete totally antique, setting table arrangement; all the available extras...beer, wine, coffee. tea, brandy in the room, etc. A most wonderful experienceโ
โThis is my hometown and to go back home and be able to be so close to all that i knew growing up there was so touching and so sweet for me. Being รo close to my childhood friends amd able to see and show my boyfriend the beautiful town that i grew up in ...this hotel was the perfect location for everything. And so close to the casinos which he has never been to one. Yet i worked at both of them so was nice to show him around. I will come back amd know this hotel is where we will stay from now...
โEverything was great. All the employees were very helpful. The room was cleaned. We ate breakfast in dining room everything was delicious. The waitress was always pleasant and helpful.โ
โI think this was an old lake resort. The exterior is in disrepair, the pool is out of commission, and the decore is dated to the point of quirky. But, the staff is friendly, the room was immaculate, and it has an overall charm that we thoroughly enjoyed. My only recommendation would be for more pillows... there aren't enough on the bed to prop yourself up to watch TV.โ
