Was not happy with $50 valet parking fee!! Hotel is beautiful and very clean!! Staff very rude!! Valet brought out car back smelling like marijuana!!!

This is a clean hotel with excellent staff. Unfortunately, it’s in downtown Oakland and there are a lot of homeless outside. However, my dad was in the Kaiser hospital and we wanted to be close. This was an excellent place to stay to be close to the hospital.

I would love to tell about my miserable experience in suits inn Marriott in Oakland, rude staff , lied marketing They said parking available but you gotta pay 50$ vallet per night, because the area is kinda dangerous. I said rude staff ? Poor breakfast Very expensive and nothing in return, never again

This is a very nice place to stay if you need to be in the area. It is clean and the staff is very helpful. My family member was having surgery in Oakland so we needed to be close by.

Fantastic choice, suite has a full kitchen. Hotel is modern and exceptionally clean. All the staff I've encountered have been professional and friendly.

The staff is very courteous and receptive. The facility and the rooms are new and very clean. The only downside was there is no parking structure for self parking. I had no idea that it would cost me an additional $60 to park my car. I booked through Hotels.com and it would’ve been nice to know this ahead of time I travel quite a bit for business. The hotel itself was nice but just it was somewhat of disappointment to learn that I had to pay $60 to park my car.

I love this property and its location! Nice staff, valet parking is so convenient, good housekeeping. Great breakfast each morning. And beautiful view from our room! This hotel is now my go to for Oakland, CA!

Stay in oct-nov 2023. Hotel room is nice, new and modern. Kitchen fully equiped with induction. Cleaning service was not so well, they didn't do well vacuum cleaning on the floor. Laundry system: couldn't use the laundry because it needed an american creditcard to pay through app only. No other option. As a hotel you know, you receive international guest, so this is really bad. I was referred to a laundry store on a 10 min drive away! The management would call me the next day to discuss this problem, they didn't call back. While checking in creditcard was not working, therefore deposit couldnt be paid. I was ready to pay cash. My creditcard could be working in 2-3 days as well, but there were very difficult and not willing to be resilient at all. The stay was already paid, just the deposit had to be paid. But they didnt give me time to get it working and I would be on the street, despite the whole stay was already paid. Fortunately one of the people working there, solved the problem en the creditcard worked. And we got into the room. But it was quite a tension for an hour or so.

Wonderful hotel
Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Early check in was greatly appreciated as we had been awake since 3:30 am for an early flight. Upon entering or leaving the building we were always warmly greeted. The hot breakfast was incredible and the gym was excellent. And it was in a beautiful part of Oakland with easy walk to restaurants and Lake Merritt. We had a fantastic stay.

Weekend stay!
We were in town for a wedding, the room was spacious; comfortable king bed and spacious studio with kitchen and fridge. Continental breakfast available and bar around the lobby. The only downside was the $50 per night valet parking- for Oakland I think that is a bit extra. Overall the stay was great.

Staff was great! ❤️
We were in town for Cal parents weekend, to spend time with our daughter. She missed our fur baby terribly so we brought our pooch along. When we first drove up, I wasn’t sure. The area didn’t look great, BUT it ended up being a great stay. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. From Shayla who checked us in, the man who helped me get ice to all the valets that helped us- they all surpassed my expectations. We forgot the valet key to our electric car so we complicated the process but they accomplished us so we did not have to find street parking. Thank you all so much.

Great Hotel with Great Service
Great location, right in the center of downtown, plenty of places to eat close by but most of all, I loved the staff. They were all so friendly and helpful. Very nice rooms, clean, I highly recommend!

Horrible service
The hotel seemed very nice, but I believe since we booked 3rd party we got the room directly across from the elevator. I tried to call the service desk to ask for a new room, no one answered. When it was time to go to sleep, we tried to close all the black out curtains and we were unable to close one all the way. When the sun came up, it lit the room up as if it were daytime. We tried to make coffee in the in room coffee maker in the morning. The in room coffee maker did not work. As I checked out, I let the front desk know about all of the problems, she was a it rude and asked if I had called to let them know. I had, but no one answered. Very disappointed. The only real positive is that the hotel was walking distance from the Fox Theater where we went to see a concert.

Stated one night for a concert. It’s literally a 4mins Uber ride to the Fox Theater. Pro: the front staff, valet staff, and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very new, clean, and bed was very comfortable! And lastly, breakfast was super good! Con: hotel is located in an area that looks very sketchy. There is only one restaurant (vegan) around the corner and a convenience store across the street. Not much else to eat around and requires at least a 15-20min walk through sketchy neighborhoods just to find other restaurants. Even though the hotel says they have a restaurant, it’s more like they offer appetizers at high price values which is a shame because they can really capitalize on this given that there is hardly any restaurants nearby.
