"The perfect experience started with the reception. There’s the most lovely woman there. I’ve called her halo. I forgot her name, but she was a spectacular hard worker gave me a beautiful ocean room. She really really attended to her audience and all the staff was very helpful very good people, beautiful atmosphere , gorgeous beach. Food was good spa really nice everything about it is a 10 the only place to stay in Montauk and the Hamptons area if you want a full facility, you stay at Gurneys . we try to it’s has all the amenities you will need . very attentive staff go every year when we are here 😎"

"One star is even too much of a rating and unfortunately it is all because of how the employees acted...this was one of my favorite hotels to stay at in the past...rooms are fairly clean other guests have pets that are not keep up and you can smell pet smells they should have a section reserved for pets the parking lot had a large hole that could cause damage yes there was a cone but not enough of notice it's dark over there...I haven't even stepped in the door and the front desk employee was very disrespectful to my husband who had went in to get the baggage cart...I jave no oroblem adhering to rules and policies but there is a way you speak to guests she was rude and gave looks like rolling her eyes I felt judged and disrespected she must of told us we had to check out the next day 6 times due to the amount of luggage we had I heard and understood the first time she said it ..said that there was no breakfast only juice and granola and coffee and the phone rand every 15 min and when I called to ask why she said it was because it was letting us know we had no messages I believe she was doing it on purpose...come the next morning I asked where the jujve was and the morning agent was like it's all downstairs and would you know there was a full breakfast there...why would she say there wasn't I wasn't good enough for there breakfast injave so much more to say running out of space long story short guest service skills absolutely terrible she needs to be fired or retrained xxxxxx"

"The room and balcony were both clean and spacious. No major complaints - just that blackout curtains don't exist on the larger windows, which can be an acquired taste for some. We went over Memorial Day weekend, which is typically the onset of beach season, and had wanted to use the beach passes they advertise as part of the resort amenities, to park at various local beaches for our strolls. But at check-in, they said they had not ordered them yet for the 2026 season, so that was a letdown. Also, the buffet breakfast we thought the resort would provide onsite turned out to be just (2) $10 vouchers/night to Stone Street Cafe a 4-min drive away. Street parking is easy there, but just a juice at the cafe was already $10. A shout-out to Mario at the front desk though - he was responsive and prompt to answer all our questions. He was both kind and patient - a wonderful asset to Shoals."
