A nice place to relax close to the beach

The main reason for us to chose this hotel was the free parking and because we wanted to stay the night close to Essaouira. This was a great choice because this traditional hotel was a perfect place to relax a bit, the host and staff were very friendly, the room was in good condition, and it was relatively close to the city (by car). The hotel has a swimming pool but unfortunately, during this time of year (May) it was not ready for utilization (water was dirty). Of note, our room did not had any A/C; no problem because it was not that hot (probably due the proximity of the ocean). However, I imagine it might be less comfortable in the peak of the summer. The included breakfast was very decent.

Séjour parfait!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans le douar des Oliviers, une jolie maison dans la campagne proche d Essaouira. Nourredine et Aïcha nous ont reçu avec une extrême gentillesse et bienveillance! La cuisine : un délice ! Nous nous sommes régalés chaque jour.... Avec couscous, tajine, brochettes concoctées par Aïcha... On s y est senti comme a la maison, un moment relaxant après la tumultueuse Marrakech !!! Pour les enfants, c est parfait : grande piscine, jardin, animaux de la ferme avec un beau paon ! De belles balades a faire a pied autour du douar a pied ou a dromadaire ! ( Notre fils a adoré). Essaouira a 15 min en voiture... Une adresse parfaite, au calme qui plaira aux familles avec des hôtes très attachants... Un pincement au coeur au moment de repartir... Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir, merci pour tout!

Nice hotel with garden and pool

Me and my wife stayed in this hotel. The hotel is clean, very friendly staff. The staff has converted their farmhouse into a hotel. There is a swimming pool and the breakfast is served near the pool. The garden is huge and is pet friendly. They themselves have a couple of cats, peacock and peahens. Very peaceful, free and ample space for parking, are some of the highlights. Very near to Essaouria. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Peaceful, beautiful and Welcoming :)

Warm, cosy and amazing hosts. The setting is picturesque, overlooking olive trees, gently swaying in the Essaouiran wind. The food there is incredible, authentic and rustic (most vegetables sourced from the garden!) They were sure to take care of me and welcome me in with open arms. Will definitely be back again!

GREAT HOSTS AND SMALL HOTEL IN COUNTRY

The owners, Nordeen and Aisha, made us feel like family from the start. They gave us complimentary sandwhiches and tea and joined us for the two breakfasts at the side of the large pool. The room was very ample, well heated and had non stop hot water. Though the botigue hotel is 15 km. from the center of Essaouria, it is served by a good bus company and taxis. At the end the owner took us to the city to catch our bus. The day before we drove into town together as a courtesy and to meet a retired friend who had taught English. The breakfast was basic and could benefit from an egg, cereal, fruit and milk. Too much bread! The hotel, with many common areas and gardens makes a great impression. We would definitely return to explore the historic city and surroundings further. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Loved it.

My daughter, sister and I had a really lovely and relaxing stay here. We felt welcomed and at home immediately. The pool was outstanding as it was hot. Even staying out a bit from the city was no problem, bus and taxis are cheap and easy to access. Loved it and would recommend this stay to others.

Relax and rejuvenate

Here you can relax and unwind. It's an oasis of calm. We made full use of the swimming pool and the hosts were absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will stay there again when we visit Essaouira. You can look forward to personal service and a wonderful stay.

un petit coin très paisible!

nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce petit hôtel! j'en suis repartie vraiment reposée tant cet endroit nous a fait du bien! l'air pur de la campagne, la vue magnifique, la piscine pour se rafraichir (qui a fait le bonheur des enfants), le calme, les repas délicieux et surtout le gentillesse et l'accueil chaleureux des propriétaires que je remercie car ils ont fait en sorte qu'on se sente comme chez nous! Ce qui a fait de cet hôtel, le meilleur qu'on ait fait de toutes nos vacances!! j'y reviens à coup sûr l'année prochaine!

séjour très désagréable plein de moustiques pas de climatisation pas de lumière en sortant de votre chambre la nuit pas moyen de lire dans votre chambre lumière très faible loin de votre lit très loin de la ville pour manger il faut une demi heure puis que la carte de l'hôtel est très limite quand nous avions découvert ses problème nous voulions changer d'établissement et la on nous a mal traite on a passe une nuit le gérant nous a garde le pris d'une nuit nuit supplémentaire et nous nous avions toute les penne du monde pour récupérer notre argent heureusement avec l'aide de l'hôtel .com.

Rural Morocco - Essouiria nearby!

This is a great place to stay. You are able to watch rural Morrocan life from a great balcony and yet nip into Essouiria for 30 pence on the local bus and taxi back for £4.00. The pool is brilliant, the rooms great and the food amazing. Best of all is Joel who looks after the place - he's a great cook too. Fantastic to watch the Milky Way drift overhead with no light pollution at all.
