โA really lovely place to stay - in the shadow of the castle itself which was a 10 minute walk away.
It was more an apartment than a hotel room, with fridge/freezer, sink, living area and two separate bedrooms.
Be aware that it was initially difficult to find because the rooms are within a retirement home and the facilities within our room clearly supported assisted living.

โWe werden heel goed ontvangen, kregen uitleg over goed restaurants in de omgeving. Kamer heel ruim en netjes! Heel lekker ontbijt, leuk dat we buiten konden zitten. Enkel spijtig dat de mobiele airco veel lawaai maakt.โ
โIris and BJ were wonderful hosts. In advance of our visit we communicated about our diet (vegan family) and they were able to provide us a nice breakfast every morning. We visited the area during warm weather and the swimming pool ended up being a refreshing part of our stay during the late afternoon hours.โ
โBreakfast was prepared to order with eggs, bacon, breads/croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, muesli, etc. Relaxed setting on the terrace.
Only 7 rooms. Felt very well taken care of. Extremely attentive staff. High quality in every sense. โ

โIt was a very calm and beautiful hotel, but its hygiene was awful. During my stay, there were hundreds and thousands of small red spiders in the room. I wouldnโt recommend this hotel. โ
โOne of the few hotels within the Carcassonne castle. So one can't get access to it by car. The guest has to park his or her car at the Welcome Centre on the outskirts of the castle, and the hotel provides transportation between the Welcome Centre and the hotel. The service was very impressive, but this information should be given before the guest finalizes his or her reservation.
