Very close, short walk to the medieval Cite and the restaurants of Rue Trivalle. Note that this is a Seniors residence, nice snd quiet. Front desk staff very helpful when arranging for a taxi. โ
โThe property was in a good location, quiet but walkable to all important sites. Catherine was a lovely host, very accommodating, had breakfast ready each morning and kept our luggage on our day of departure. โ
โGood hotel. Just what you expect from a Mercure. Comfortable but not special. Kind staff. The lady at the reception was not smiling very much. Nevertheless, she gave us all the information we needed about the city, so no offence. โ

โOne of the few hotels within the Carcassonne castle. So one can't get access to it by car. The guest has to park his or her car at the Welcome Centre on the outskirts of the castle, and the hotel provides transportation between the Welcome Centre and the hotel. The service was very impressive, but this information should be given before the guest finalizes his or her reservation. After receiving the message that I could not go further than the Welcome Centre, I made an enquiry to the hotel about...

Only 7 rooms. Felt very well taken care of. Extremely attentive staff. High quality in every sense. โ
โIris and BJ were wonderful hosts. In advance of our visit we communicated about our diet (vegan family) and they were able to provide us a nice breakfast every morning. We visited the area during warm weather and the swimming pool ended up being a refreshing part of our stay during the late afternoon hours.โ
โIt was a very calm and beautiful hotel, but its hygiene was awful. During my stay, there were hundreds and thousands of small red spiders in the room. I wouldnโt recommend this hotel. โ

I'm very satisfied with my stay at Hรดtel Du Pont Vieux. The staff were all kind and everything is almost perfect. The only disadvantage is about a lift but this is already mentioned by the hotel owner, so I was okay with it."
