"Location was FABULOUS! Perfect location in the theater district if you're seeing a show, around the corner from Times Square. This did lend to noisy nights on the street but nothing that prevented sleep. Room had 2 queens and more space than I thought we'd have. Gym was fully equipped and clean. Breakfast options as part of the $20 per person per day resort fee ("free to-go" or inexpensive sit-down eggs, toast, hashbrowns, coffee) were great. Security was solid-had to show hotel room key pass in order to get to elevators and had to swipe key pass in order to go up elevator. Very safe area with lots of restaurants and shops. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Cost was reasonable on Hotels.com especially considering location. We did the free walking tour of Rockefeller Center and Times Square that left out of the hotel lobby. It was great! It was 60 minutes, not a long walk, but interesting and did I mention, free! We also did a 2 private tour with Broadway Up Close called "Hamil Tour" for $83 pp.
Two tiny complaints were that check-in was at 3:00 and our room wasn't ready until 3:15 and there was not a lot of surface space to put toiletries and no shelves/dressers to unpack.
Tips:
-There's a parking garage right diagonally across the street (259 W 47th) that we booked ahead thru SpotHero.
-I checked on the price for the room 3 days before our arrival and it was $240 cheaper so I cancelled the first booking and rebooked at the cheaper price. Yay, Hotels.com!"
"I felt safe with the security part, having to show your room key, especially in the wee hours.
Staff was phenomenal.
I enjoyed the $15 daily credit at the market"
"Fantastic value with spacious rooms. Minimal amenities in the room, (no fridge, coffee maker or microwave). Overall, it was a great location and the staff were top notch. We would stay here again!"
"Perfect location and very nice lobby. Room was clean but a bit tired. Nice Lincoln Center views from our 11th fl room. The deluxe room is worth it for the larger size. Very tiny but functional bathroom. Peeling paint in areas. A/C was very weak. Pool on the roof is a bit of a joke. The size of a large bathtub. A decent hotel for the money, but definitely feels like a 3 star property rather than 4 star."
