It is inside the airport. Very convenient if you just need a few hours rest or even spend a couple of nights as you have the metro and MAGLEV stations there, so it is very easy to reach the city and enjoy.

Manli Hotel Shanghai Pudong Airport Branch-Free shuttle buses to Pudong Airport and Disneyland
If you’re booking for the shuttle, don’t bother. The shuttle is very confusing, dirty, and inefficient. Pick up from the airport is near impossible and drop off is even worse. The last shuttle is at 2pm so if you have a late afternoon/evening flight it’ll be useless.
