We booked a king room through expedia. When we got to the hotel we stood at the front desk with a group of other people waiting to be helped. After 5 or so minutes a woman came out of an office behind the desk, wearing a pokemon shirt. No uniform, no professionalism. When it was our turn to be checked in, she notified us that our room had been over booked and there were no more king beds available. She offered to switch us to a queen bed room, but stated she "could not over ride the booking. Only a manager could do that" she then stated that the manager "wont answer phone calls or texts" but i would not be charged with a king room. I would only get charged for the queen room. She then had to figure out which rooms were clean, because she "had no idea what rooms are clean or dirty". After a while she came back down and assigned us a room. By the time we get to the room its already 8:30pm. We are exhausted, frustrated, and starving. We get to the room, and its a single twin matress room. We take a bunch of pictures of the room, room number, and matress and figure we will get it straightened out after dinner. We eat, we go back to the hotel and tell the same woman in the pokemon shirt tells me the twin matress room is the same price as the queen and she doesnt have a queen. But i can get a refund from expedia, because the manager wont answer calls. I contact expedia, what do you know. They tell me they can not do anything except reach out to the hotel. Been weeks. Still nothing.
