"Hotel is modern with beautiful paintings and artwork. Loved all the natural wood prominence. Location is awesome, close to shopping, restaurants etc. Shoreditch area has a very vibrant young community. Loved the free water dispenser for both sparkling and still water in the hallways. I loathe paying for water in hotels. Free breakfast is also a plus. The only negative is that the television remote control was not user friendly, nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay."

"We stayed on the second week that the hotel was open. A few teething troubles - we couldn’t make the microwave work and there were no instructions, and the light in the shower decided to stop working in the morning. However, the room was lovely, the view incredible, and it was just a short walk from Canary Wharf station. I travelled with my 17y/o daughter and we would have appreciated an option for twin beds rather than a double."

"This hotel was a gem. Close to Canary Wharf & Heron Quays tube, making it easy to get around. The staff were fantastic - welcoming and extremely helpful. The Saturday I arrived was the last hot, hot day of the heatwave so I made sure the air conditioning was on before heading out. When I got back, it was clear the A/C wasn't working. Phoned down to front desk to ask if I was doing something wrong when setting it. They sent someone 5 mins later who declared it wasn't working. They immediately swapped my room to one with working A/C. So, after a fab shower, had a very good night's sleep. The A/C is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Overall, an excellent hotel, great value for money and very helpful & friendly staff. Thank you. I will be back! 😊"

"I would always recommend staying at the Apex to anyone visiting London. I find that the little details make all the difference - amenities in the room such as lip balm, hand cream, shoe polish, popcorn and biscuits, slippers and bathrobe as well as a bath duck which my little girl loved is something most hotels do not provide. Also the quality of things such as shower gel and hand wash, shampoo etc is just much better than most. I was with my toddler and she absolutely loved the experience and it definitely felt like luxury and great value for money. The staff are always really friendly, we received 2 complimentary drinks, they were really helpful in dropping bags off and during breakfast they made a big fuss of my little girl and she felt really special. Specifically around breakfast I feel it is the best quality I’ve received for this price of hotel, the choice is immaculate and it is constantly being refreshed throughout the morning in terms of fruit, baked items etc and you get your choice of a full breakfast. £22 seems expensive for breakfast but this is definitely worth it, plus my little one ate for free. When we visit London, as long as the room rates are under £200 I would never stay anywhere else."
