"We have stayed here many times over the years. Lovely place and they are handling bad storm weather and renovations of one pool well. We booked a pool view but there was no pool in sight from our room, no big deal since we not in the room much. Things have changed over the years as is natural but usually you hope it would be for the better. The aura doesn’t feel as serene or happy, they take away as much of the little things as they can that seem petty to complain about. Such as water coolers that used to be near the towel hits are gone, need to fill in the room or buy bottled from the market or restaurant. The small touches matter. The restaurants have gotten ridiculously expensive, we used to eat at least one meal a day on property and have a few drinks each day. Not anymore. We went to the pool bar for a drink and the server made us pay for it right away, we had hoped to have another but the way he treated changed our minds. 18% tip at the restaurant is automatically on the bill. “Automatically adding a tip or service charge to a restaurant bill is illegal in Mexico under the Federal Consumer Protection Law (enforced by PROFECO), though some tourist-heavy spots still attempt it.”"

"Don’t get a “deluxe” room. There’s only 2 large windows that look directly into hallways. So unless you want everyone who passes through the hall peering into your room the curtains must be drawn all the time, making the room dark all the time. Also there’s no fitness room despite the hotel amenities listing one. Also, if it rains at any point during the day the staff disappears for the day. Good side, perfect location and great staff when they’re there."

"Overall, we had a good stay thanks to the friendly staff, good food, and an excellent room location. Breakfast was consistently enjoyable and stood out among the dining options. The biggest disappointment was the alcohol selection. Tecate was the only draft beer available throughout the grounds, and the room minibar included just two Carta Blanca beers per day. When we wanted more, we had to order and pay for them through room service. The liquor offerings throughout the resort were also limited to lower-end brands. My biggest recommendation is to watch out for the timeshare sales representatives. The hotel specifically warned guests in writing about avoiding them at the airport, yet similar representatives (concierges) were waiting at the resort and actively approaching arriving guests. It felt inconsistent with the hotel's own advice."

"No laundry equipment, no coffee maker, kitchen knives was not useful at all(Cheap knives set can't even cut tomatoes), communication was slow, response to resolve the issues was okay, but series of small issues ( no big deal) should not not be there. Pay attention to details with customer care mindset is a area of opportunity. The property itself was perfect, great location, building management was attentive, nice building."

"It is downtown San Jose so Friday and Saturday nights were loud. They supplied ear plugs but be aware that there is a bar or club very close to hotel. Other than that it was a perfect stay. Staff was very helpful, friendly, room was clean and stocked with amenities."

"We had such a great stay at Flamboyan Hotel! The hotel was super clean, the AC was amazing (especially in the Cabo heat!), and the whole place was so cute, artsy, and full of character. The location honestly can’t be beat — we were able to walk to so many restaurants, shops, and everything around town. They also have e-bikes you can borrow, which was such a nice bonus and made cruising around San José del Cabo really easy and fun. The staff was also supee friendly! Would definitely recommend staying here!"
