"Have stayed at this hotel multiple times a year for a very long time. As always a great breakfast and staff. However rooms appear to need some minor upkeeping. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms was fine. Tv was fading and the room showed some signs of needing to be touched up. Still highly recommend for its location, staff and breakfast."

"We liked this simple property. However it appeared severely understaffed particularly in the restaurant and front desk. There was an unfortunate incident whereby restaurant staff gave away our pre-booked dinner reservation even though we weren't late. Even if they had found another table there is no way they would have had the staff to support everyone, resulting in our party going elsewhere which delayed our dinner start time by one hour. The front desk staff were pleasant but overwhelmed."

"In general, very good. But two specific issue. Breakfast had more issues than anticipated: 10 deep at the toaster was an issue, maybe purchase a heavy duty one?; on a busy morning seems to have been no anticipation running out of eggs at 7:30 doesn't work for us and two thirds of the breakfast 2 hours had limited food.. We had a handicap room. It would be nice to actually have a chair in the room. The single rolling chair at the desk was pathetic, another easy chair would make the room actually 2 people friendly. The television service was unfriendly, did not have many commercial stations (too many of them from the west coast), and don't even talk about the guide. It was disconcerting to have all the handicap rooms on the 2nd floor. I understand the first floor had no rooms, but in an emergency too many of the people on that 2nd floor CANNOT use the stairs (certainly I couldn't). So, probably too much detail, but there were issues. Would we come back? Absolutely! Great staff, clean as a whistle and convenient."

"Beautiful property, great communication with the host, very safe to stay with family. Rooms were clean, all appliances work as expected. The lake is a few metres walk and is magnificent. We loved the kayak and paddle board system they have, easy and efficiently managed. Close proximity to Huntsville, Algonquin park and arrowhead too."
