Great location for a one night theatre get away and book shopping at Powell's. Staff were very helpful and check in was a breeze (and we were early!!). My reservation indicated free valet parking and when I was accidentally charged, they refunded me right away. Room was clean and quiet and very comfortable. My only quibble was with the plumbing. The shower diverter suddenly reversed itself during my shower and the sink tap suddenly shut off on its own. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Convenient location, quiet area, lovely and comfortable rooms, but if you are a tea drinker, bring your own tea bags...there was a serious lack of attention to those of us who don't drink coffee! We walked to Powell's, the Portland Art Museum, the local convenience store, the Chinese Garden, and several nearby restaurants. Public transit is also very close by.

Our room was clean, smelled nice, and was the perfect fit. The breakfast was FANTASTIC. I highly recommend it. Christopher and Jack in the restaurant were so pleasant. The staff of the hotel welcomed us back nearly every time we walked in. There is an amazing food pod right next door. Super convenient and delicious.

Overall, the hotel was clean and the location was convenient for exploring downtown Portland. However, there were a few things future guests should know. We found a dirty towel in our room upon check-in, and there was no kettle or water pot available. Parking was the biggest issue. Street parking was either full or felt unsafe (we even saw broken glass nearby), so we ended up using the hotel's valet service. The valet staff were great, but it cost an unexpected $52/night, and I wish this had been communicated more clearly before arrival. If you're driving, be sure to factor the valet cost into your budget.
