"I had a wonderful stay at the brand-new Delta Hotel in Ponta Delgada. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, just minutes from the airport. The staff were excellent, welcoming me with an early check-in and great local dining recommendations. My room was spotless and comfortable. Since the property is still new, some facilities are finding their rhythm, and I’d suggest clearer instructions for the balcony door, which can be a bit confusing. Overall, a great experience, but you’ll definitely want a car to explore beyond the city."

To break down some highlights:
- Super clean and well kept. The rooms were spotless on arrival and every day after.
- The staff was very friendly and polite.
- The food of the restaurant for all meals was excellent. The buffet breakfast was extremely varied, with very fresh fruits and baked goods.
- Parking was super easy, and they had enough for the days the hotel was busy.
- Bonus: if you had a toddler, the cleaning staff would leave homemade surprises (I.e. a bumblebee made with toilet rolls and two eyes) for them on their bed and crib. Our child loved them, and we took them home.
