"Our stay was satisfactory. The room could have been cleaner- there was debris on the rug near the bed and hair on the shower wall...things that are simple checks so it makes you question other shortcuts. The fitted bedsheets were too small for the beds so they shifted all night. The snack bar was nice but they didn't have bottled water left, which, in a hotel with heavily chlorinated public water that tastes awful, would be a nice thing to keep stocked. Again, some easy fixes that matter for comfort. Lastly, we were hoping to use the spa but it was closed, which unfortunately means we paid for an amenity that was not provided. Breakfast was fine, not many options even for a continental breakfast, and the "eggs" were terrible ( obviously a liquid or powdered egg, as most hotels used, only they were very rubbery and flavorless....borderline inedible.) At the room rates of this property, I'd expect a little higher standard. The location was nice, but there was an event across the street in the park and we had to wait for a hotel parking space to open because people were using the hotel lot to park and walk to the event since the public lot was full. All in all, I dont know that I'd stay here again for the price, except for the convenience of the location to Presque Isle and Bayfront restaurants. A few simple upgrades and higher standards would benefit this property to fill its potential."
