"The room, surroundings, including the old monastery area for breakfast, lunch and drinks as well as the spa section makes this hotel one of the better value high end hotels I have stayed in. "The Intercontinental Lyon was an excellent choice. Clean, luxurious and comfortable, the location was central and there are about 6 restaurants on location that were all good options. Breakfast was pricy, but there was an excellent pastry shop around the corner where we went to breakfast. Theodore was the best restaurant on location and they also have a Michelin restaurant at the hotel. Price was reasonable for the stay. "The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the room very quiet (double-windows and blackout curtains). The hotel amenities are really good. The location is great, right next to the river and within walking distance old Lyon, the opera, Croix Rousse. There's also a large choice of restaurants around."
