“Absolute gem of a place to stay. Gorgeous room with everything you need & so peaceful. The food was really good both for dinner & breakfast. We visited Fountains Abbey which was only 2 miles away. And we could do parkrun with plenty of time to get back before checkout & eat breakfast. Would love to return.”

“Truly one of the worst stays I've ever had. The room smelled terribly of damp, the bed and carpet was ripped and stained, thick layers of dust on almost every surface, mould in the bathroom, shower leakage, and dead plants in the courtyard. The cleaning staff barged into our room in the morning without knocking, waking us up two hours before our checkout time. The staff was basically non-existent, and as the pub only opens around noon, it's impossible to get any help in the mornings. The price...

“Overall a lovely stay. Our room was large, clean & comfortable with a balcony overlooking the front garden area. Good to have a fridge in the hot weather. We also appreciated the USB ports & other amenities. Comfortable armchairs & a comfotable bed, although the bedding was a little excessive for the hot weather - easy to remove the top layer though. The lovely bathroom was also a good size with a seperate bath & shower. Our only frustration was the early morning traffic noise - we had to open...
