“Warm welcome. Engaging owner and staff. Really nice service from all of them. Good stopover from motorway. Food in restaurant was very good. Fitted our needs perfectly.”

“Check in wasent till 4:30pm.Quite busy when we arrived so had a drink a nice collection of ipa always a good thing.When got a drink told him we was checking in quite quick told us when your ready il show you to your room.To which they did explained everything.The room was everything we needed nice layout comfy bed.Near the train station but couldn’t hear much as trains pulled up.Shame they don’t do breakfast but there’s loads of place to go for something to eat in walking distance.Defo...

“High end accommodation in a beautiful setting”

“A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks.”

“We were shown to our room which was a good size with a large bathroom. Fresh milk available from the fridge on the landing for a cuppa. We had dinner here,very tasty chicken and salad on flatbread. Our breakfast was also lovely,freshly prepared and good quality. Cereals,juices and toast available along with a full English or other options. “We had previously visited the Richard III Pub last summer and were very impressed with the welcome we received and the food on that occasion, so we decided to stay here this year while visiting family in the area. Once again, we received a warm welcome from the staff member who checked us in quickly and told us where our room was.
