“BEWARE OF THE NON DISCLOSURE OF $80 CLEANING OR TOWEL FEES - ADDED AT CHECK OUT. We booked our stay through Expedia, where the apparent "$80 towel fee" was buried deep in the terms and conditions. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed the extra charge. After three days of going back and forth with Expedia & Historic Berkeley, I was finally able to get the cleaning fee refunded from Expedia, even though the monies were collected at the hotel. “An elegant old house tastefully redeveloped, with large, comfortable and stylish rooms. Great location close to breweries, wineries and hiking and not far from Charlottesville. So, mostly good but the administrative and customer-service side could be better. We weren't sent the code for the front door and another couple we met weren't sent the code for their room. I received the checkout instructions after having already left the property. ”
