"The building is oh so cool! And it's nestled blocks from Washington and Lee and in the heart of historic Lexington. We arrived too late in the afternoon to enjoy the nearby shops, but we look forward to doing that on our next trip (this was strictly an overnight, pass-through stay).
However, there was a very distinct, unpleasant smell in the lobby when we arrived. In talking with other guests, we weren't the only ones who noticed it. Thankfully, the smell didn't permeate into the room. The room was comfortable enough, but it wasn't meticulous. One of our drawers was broken, some age/wear/dust on the shoemolding, etc ... but nothing that would make us not want to stay there again. The pillows were AMAZING! One thing missing that would have been nice to have would be a dorm/hotel-sized fridge in the room. We travel with medicine that needs to be refrigerated, and this would have been helpful."
