"Firstly, we just wanted somewhere to stay prior to our early afternoon flight. Secondly a reasonable rate. The Ibis fits the bill. Our main concern was that we were using public transport. Couldn’t have been easier! We took the airport tram from St Andrew’s Square and got off at the Gyle stop. The hotel is literally across the road, about a five minute walk. Check in was easy. You can pre purchase a continental breakfast for £9. We didn’t bother and just got something at the airport. I made the mistake of thinking there was a restaurant for dinner but it was just 3 choices of pizza and paninis. We had a pizza which was okay. Room was your average Ibis all over the world. Bit small but certainly comfortable, hot water and good WiFi. I am always disappointed when there is no tea and coffee making facilities but you can get free tea, coffee and juice downstairs near reception. Again, it was simply for airport access and as such, we would recommend the Ibis."

"We stayed for 4 nights in September. The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. Parking was plentiful though it's important to register the car rego to avoid fines. The hotel is conveniently situated with a 5 minute walk to a shopping centre with a M&S and a Morrisons for groceries and a variety of other shops. Across from the shopping centre is the Gyle tram stop with a 20 minute ride right into Princes Street. The room was very spacious and comfortable though the air con was rather loud."
