"Needed a hotel in Victoria's Inner Harbour last minute: very pleased to find the Royal Scot! Location can't be more perfect: a block from the Pariliament, a block from the harbour. Called ahead & told we could do early check in at 1 pm. Arrived to welcoming staff! Chose to use their paid parking (indoor & out avail). They do offer suites: we chose a King room: not sure if ALL rooms are as large, but were surprised at how roomy ours was. Large entry area that was perfect for our suitcases (one small suggestion: add coat hooks!) Bedroom easily fit King bed, nightstands, armchairs, coffee table, desk, dresser. Tub & commode were closed off, bathroom sink area was big enough for both of us to spread out our toiletries (WHY do so many hotels not do that?) Happy to find a nook with microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, bar fridge & a trolly with cutlery, plates, cups, bowls, glasses. Not a kitchen but perfect for making snacks & drinks. The hotel has a guest laundry room, good sized indoor pool & hot tub, billiards room, games room. In short, if you're on a longish trip (as we were) and you want room to spread out, havegreat facilites & perfect location at a surprisingly good room rate? Royal Scot can't be beat. YES as others have said, it's a bit dated - but apparently under new management and likely going to get some spiffying up. That said, we were very happy with it exactly as it is now."
