To start with a positive note, the staff was overall responsive and courteous. The property is overall beautiful, and is in a fantastic location, with ability to some great restaurants. The breakfast provided was pleasant, including hard, boiled eggs, and sly, homemade scones that were delightful.
I had two very unfortunate experiences that can be addressed through training, which Hope management provides. First, I received a phone call at 12:45 PM on my second day of stay asking me to change rooms. When I asked how quickly I needed to do it, the response was by 1 PM. I was crosstown, and had to get an a lift to quickly pack my things and change rooms. The second issue was cleanliness. The window shades in both rooms were particularly dirty. More significantly, the inside of the drawers were very dirty. In fact, there were toiletries, previous guest in one of them, indicating that them. As I packed my clothes, to leave the hotel, I noticed a film of dust on my darker items from the bottom of the drawer.
Again, this is a beautiful property, and I hope that management provides training so that future guests have a more positive stay.
